A Prayer For Myah

Hello family and friends. With everchanging technology and statistics at our hands we have made a decision with Myah for her to have a second Cochlear Implant surgery so that she will have the benefit of bilateral hearing. Therefore, resulting in directional sound, less fatigue and easier hearing in noisy environments (like the lunch room which is very difficult for Myah). Statistics have proven bilateral implantion to be not only effective but also quite necessary. However, our insurance company believes that this is not medically necessary (big surprise!). Like they know what it's like to have a profound hearing loss and fight through each day to hear your teachers and fellow students, be embarassed to ask "what did you say?" over and over again, and have to be a vigorous advocate for yourself everyday at school and extracurricular activites so that you are not left behind! Myah's surgery is scheduled for this Friday, February 20th. We have been battling the insurance company for two weeks and have been told that the denial will probably be overturned yet we are 48 hours out and no approval. With this in mind we are asking for each of you to say a little prayer for this to go through so that Myah can have her surgery on Friday. Every little prayer and thought is so very much appreciated. We will definitely keep you posted with, hopefully, great news. The clock is ticking!

1 - Myah looks like a young lady in this picture.
2 - Prayers will be heard from John, Myself, Charlie, and Chester. I cannot say for sure, but I think pug prayers count for a little something extra!

I am on board and am adding her name to the prayer roll. She'll have 176 prayers from the midwest saints in Denver. Thanks so much for including us.

i know from personal experience that insurance companies have a way of making things much more difficult and stressful than they need to be! your family, and especially myah, will be in my prayers.
